Gorilla glass is just a marketing propaganda- also beware of service terms of motorola in india.
I am writing this review to break some myths. I purchased the defy from croma store in bangalore on 13th of august. Still in warranty. Everything was fine till yesterday evening when the phone slipped from my hand and touched the floor. The distance was hardly one ft. I could notice the hairline fracture on the touch screen, though it is still working in the sense I’m able to use the phone. But this is warning for people who are going to buy this phone for the toughness of the so called gorilla glass. No truth in the propaganda.
Worse was to come.Somehow located india service center number that is 180030004343 and the attended surprised me when she told ’ physical damage will not be covered under warranty’ alas. Then i contacted their service center in jayanagar that is finefone solutions. Phone 080 - 266 34 554 / 555 / 556. And they confirmed that i have to pay inr (indian rupees) 3800 plus taxes to get the glass replaced.
Have a second thought if planning to buy defy. Phone is good as such. But if something went wrong.. You will at your own.
