Good ..Does not serve the basic purpose of a phone

This is my 4th mobile and Ive been using this phone for a year now. Well, let me first tell you about the few good things in this phone. I choose this over sony Erricson for its excellent screen and also the price

The Camera - The camera is truly the best in its class. It takes real good pictures. For a mobile camera of this price the pictures are good.

The Screen- This phone has an excellent bright screen which displays 65K colours. The photos taken can be viewed on the phone itself.

The Speaker which plays the ringtones - The phone sounds real good when you load your custom MIDI files as ring times.

Also this phone looks very fundoo (personal opinion). When you carry your phone your friends will be curious to know about it mainly because it is not as popular as the Nokias/Sony Erricsons which most of the other guys carry :)

Now all the bad stuff

  • This phone is painfully slow. Basic operations consume a lot of time. Especially if you are used to using Nokias, you will find this real slow when the amount of data(pictures/tunes) loaded on the phone increases.

  • Voice is not loud enough. For basic phone usage the Nokia 3310 offers much better voice quality and loudness. When I first bought this, I had major problems using this in noisy places.

  • The voice keeps breaking where the GSM signal is weak. I used the same SIM on a Nokia phone at the same place, it works like a charm.

  • Does not have a speaker phone!!! A camera phone of this kind lacking a basic speaker phone is a pity.

  • The screen gets smudged everytime you speak. you will spend a lot of time making the screen clean every time you speak.

  • Another interesting feature lacking is the cell info display. Generally all cheap phones have this feature where in you know the name of the area you are currently moving. Correct me if Im wrong..Does E365 have this feature??

  • The keypad sucks...!!! If you use it for typing SMS messages and playing games..Im sure the buttons will get screwed up in no time.

There was a some software issue and my entire messaging feature was blocked. I had to take it to the Motorola sevice center where they re-loaded the software (ofcourse free of cost).

Finally, if you are the kind of a person who needs perfection in everything you use..this is not for you. But if you can manage the cons...you will carry a nice camera phone which is different from the lot.
