Motorola is back with yet another stunning-looking

The Motorola Edge series was launched last year and has marked its strong stance in producing quality phones with the release of the new Motorola Edge 50 Pro.

Motorola phones are known for their quality, durability, attractive design, high performance, and fast speed. These phones are also competitively priced to suit the mid-niche market and are the best purchase option for anybody who is looking for a phone that can give quality speed and performance and has a long-lasting battery.

Unboxing experience:

The unboxing experience of this phone is especially noteworthy. It comes in a sleek and modernly styled box that elegantly displays the name of the phone and model in the front in a glossy print and a stylish font. What you will find inside the box are; a phone case, a user manual, a USB Type C to Type C cable, a SIM ejector tool, and a 125W Turbo Charger and a 68W Fast Charger in the 8GB and 12GB variants respectively. I am highly impressed with the fact that Motorola sprays perfume in its boxes to make the unboxing experience even more pleasant and satisfying and it totally does the job successfully!

Color variants:

The phone comes in 3 color variants which are; ‘Black Beauty’, ‘Luxe Lavender’, and ‘Moonlight Pearl’. Out of these, the Black Beauty and Luxe Lavender colors come with a soft vegan leather finish panel while the MoonLight pearl is a special variant that comes in an acetate and is handcrafted in Italy by Mazzucchelli. The design of the phone makes it look and feel premium in your hands.

Processor and supporting systems:

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro runs on a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 Processor which is high speed and delivers a competitive performance. It is also capable of running high-activity tasks like gaming efficiently. The phone also supports a dual 5G network, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.

Screen display quality:

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro has a 6.7-inch pOLED curved display with up to 2, 000 nits peak brightness, HDR10+ support, and is claimed to be the world’s first Pantone-validated true color display. The display offers comfortable viewing angles and the front glass is mostly non-reflective.

Speakers and cameras:

The speakers of the phone come with a Dolby Atmos feature making the audio loud and clear and eliminating any crackling even at a high volume. The phone also comes with a triple rear camera setup each being a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 13-megapixel ultrawide unit, and a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor respectively. These cameras are capable of capturing small details accurately and deliver high-resolution pictures and videos in every take!

Battery life:

The phone’s battery life is 4500Mah which is a good standard as compared to other phones in the same price range. And along with that, you get 125 fast charging and 50W wireless charging. So the battery of the phone is overall, a pretty good deal for its price.

Design:

Speaking of the design of the design of the phone, I would give it a solid 9.5 out of 10. It is mostly comfortable and sleek and the finishes on the phone perfectly blend together. The leather back panel and the aluminum sides make it feel lightweight and the rounded corners are even better to increase comfort. However, there is an issue with the back panel as you can feel the edges protruding out a little bit while holding the phone. Otherwise, the designers have done an excellent job!

Storage variants:

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro comes in two storage variants and is priced accordingly. The 8GB RAM+ 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs.31, 999 while the 12GB RAM+ 256 storage variant is priced at Rs.35, 999. These are MRP prices in India without any discount, however, you can avail of some additional discounts on these prices at a private dealership store.

Weight:

The weight of the phone is 186 grams and it is 8.19mm thick. However, it does not feel heavy or bulky at all due to its slim design and the weight being distributed equally.

External connections, other features, and water resistance:

At the bottom panel, you will find the USB Type-C port, SIM tray, microphone, and loudspeaker. A microphone is also placed on the left edge of the phone and another one is at the top center. The phone offers a water resistance of IP68 which will keep it safe even if you accidentally drop in a swimming pool.

Conclusion:

All in all, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro is a great buy for a medium to high budget which is aptly justified owing to all its qualities. It has a lot more features as compared to other smartphones available in the market within the same price range and I would highly recommend it!
