Ok, Lemme start by telling this- I am the first one to write a review about this cell which I bought today evening, and I hope to help the other mouthshutters searching for this cell. Theres been a hype created that Motorola is not a good cell to buy. Wrong. I have been using Motorola since my first cell till now- the ex128.
The fone is an eye catcher. Got 3 feather-touch keys apart from the 3.2-inch WQVGA touchscreen display. The graphics are good. The camera is 3MP but wat is the best about the cam is its clarity in night mode- superb! Quality is blur-free. 50MB internal memory isnt much though. This fone is certainly not made keeping Indians in mind owing to the variety of functions it has but they did keep India in mind and hence included Hindi, Tamil and Bengali in SMS/MMS.
Weight is 102gm which makes it very very light to handle. Calibration is good once you get accustomed to it (not unless you are a primitive motorola user like me). The Widgets: Radio, audio player, world clock, and calendar come default on the homescreen but that looks actually cool. The browser(GPRS/EDGE enabled) works fine and u can even go for Opera with it. Social Networks are pre-installed: Youtube, FaceBook and Orkut. Sound clarity is simply amazing. No (traffic or) other voices from the other side or from our side except the needed. Music quality excellent with 3D sound option. 3.5mm audio jack is a savior. The best part is we can record radio and conversations too. The next best thing is that it is a dual sim phone.
Additional features include background sound playback during calls(like in a pub, traffic, sidewalk, resto, etc), blacklisting(freedom from unwanted calls!) Plus more that I cant even remember as it isnt that comfortable to get used to this chic for Indians but will keep posting more about this.
Well, there are certainly some cons. Like the phone doesnt come with a data cable. I dont recommend this sexy fone for a heavy text user. Also the radio antenna is not in-built. Phone lock is not available. But these are not a big deal anyway-- data cables can be fetched for Rs.30, texts can still be sent and we dont want to play radio out loud in public anyways so that aint much of a problem.
Overall verdict I cant be very sure as I hv bought this today itself. But for now it a thumbs up from me.! If you like having a light phone with heavily loaded functions and a decent cam, u definitely can go for this. Dont get scared of the rumors, they are here jus to do exactly that- Scare! Motorola gives a good service still so it aint a problem. Have any queries, do write it here... :)
