Moto E (2nd Gen) Review

Moto E(2nd Gen) is an upgradation to its predecessor Moto E. If you are looking at the built in design and quality, there isn’t much change. The only change is the addition of side bands and you can replace it with bands of different colors and personalize your phone. This device supports dual mirco sims.

The display is of 4.5 inches with IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. The device has corning gorilla glass 3 protection along with oleophobic coating. I am using the 3G version and it works on qualcomm snapdragon 200 chipset and 1 GB RAM. The 4G version is also available and I think that its chipset is different.

The previous version had 4 GB internal memory and it was considered as one of the biggest con of the device. However, this time the 2nd gen phones have 8 GB internal storage which is pretty good. The memory can be expanded up to 32 GB using microSD card.

Coming to the camera it has 5 megapixels rear camera same as that of its previous model. But they have added secondary VGA camera. I couldn’t find much improvement in the camera quality. You can capture some good pictures in outdoor lighting conditions but when it comes to low light conditions; it’s same as that of its predecessor.

I am very happy with the gaming experience considering its price. I was able to play heavy games without much issue even though there were some minor lags.

In my overall usage I felt that this device is better than its previous version. But I do feel that call quality was better in Moto E. Am not saying that the call quality of this device is bad. Another thing that I don’t like about this phone is its camera quality.
