Hi! Friends. I am Debojyoti Guha from Kolkata. I bought Moto G 3rd Gen on 12 th october, 2015 and have been using the device since then.Designwise its not the best of the lot but all that glitter is not gold. And its pretty handy, nice to grip. All the volume button and Power button is on the right side of the phone nicely placed. It has a secondary noise cancellation mic on top and headphone jack. At the bottom sits the micro usb port for charging and connecting to pc.
Now the specs. 5" HD 720×1280 294 dpi screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, 2 GB RAM, Dual SIM dual 4G slot(though at a time only one SIM is capable of catching 4G signal), Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 1.6 Ghz quadcore processor with A53 ARM Cortex architecture and Adreno 306 GPU clocked at 465 MHz, 13 MP Blue Lens Dual Color Correction Temperature Flash Rear Camera and 5 MP Front cam with illuminating Display to take selfies even in total dark. It has a single speaker with inbuilt EQ and believe me it has a great and loud crystal clear sound. It came with Android 5.1 Lollipop but recently on 6th Jan 2016 it upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow thanks to Motorola as being one of Google associated company.
The battery is merely of 2470 mAh but believe me Motorolas claim of one day usage is just bang on right. I shall give you my normal usage that is total 60-90 mins talking on 3G, 2 hours of gaming, 2 hours of 3G internet and 1 hours of Video. With 100% charge at morning I will return home with 8-12% charge at night for sure. But the battery is non removable and its a good thing cause this kind of mobiles tend to hang a lot less and heats up lot less. And the icing on the cake is it has got IPX7 rating which mean you can put the phone under 3 feet of normal water for 30 minutes, but dont take it in sea or swimming pool as it will damage the phone. Lastly it has got some cool inbuilt moto features such as Moto Display which does the work of a Notification LED, Double carate chop to switch on/off the torch, Double Twist of your wrist to launch camera even if the phone is locked and slo motion video recording just like i-phone. It is capable of recording 1080p HD video and 720p slo mo video. Lastly friend it has a stock Android experience and no junk app is there in it and so even the 2 GB RAM may seem little less to some of you but on first boot you get a total 1.2 GB Free RAM for your usage with 8GB or 16GB inbuilt Memory. Also the charger supplied with it is of 1050 mAh capacity with two ports so you can charge two device at time with just one charger and higher capacity means the device will get charged soon at around 0-100% in 2 hr 30 mins. Just go for it and you will not regret your decision. I will suggest to go for the 16 GB inbuilt memory version as the price difference is not much between the two version. But two cons. One thing is the display tend to heat up a little if prolonged gaming or video playing is done, otherwise all other stuff like surfing, calling, using other apps is not an issue at all. I dont know why but doing the aforesaid two things heats up the display a little not the phone or its back only the display and that too not that much that you will not be able to hold the phone in your hand. The other is the headphone supplied with it are half-in ear headphone so I find it uncomfortable to wear even the sound is decently good though not excellent. It is sold exclusive by Flipkart through WS Retail and the prices have came down from Rs. 12999 to Rs. 10999. What else more do you need for 11k. You cant have a i-phone 6s things at this price. Feel free to comment and ask me anything related to the phone, I will be very glad if I could help you.
Signing off. Bye! Bye!
