Moto G series phones have been game changers for Motorola. Company revived its fortune in India by selling unprecedented number of Moto G series phones. Motorola is once again out to test the waters with the next iteration in Moto G 3rd generation. Here’s our review of Moto G 3rd generation:


Persisting with legacy of its predecessors Moto G 3rd Gen too features a 5-inch HD ( 1, 280 x 720 pixels) IPS LCD capacitive display with 294ppi. Like all recent Motorola branded phones, this too comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection along with Ipx7 certification of waterproofing. The phone can withstand upto 3ft. water for about half an hour.


Phone’s ability to handle tough task with ease makes it the king of phone under Rs. 13k category. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core 64-bit processor, which is assisted by Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB RAM. On the software front, almost stock Android v5.1.1 ( Lollipop) operating system is smoothly running on it for now and the phone has also been approved for Marshmallow update. Additionally, Moto’s apps like Moto Assist, Moto Display, and Quick Capture etc. come preloaded.


Today camera specs are one of the primary factors which influences buying decision. This 3rd generation phone wears a 13MP autofocus rear camera at the back with an f/2.0 aperture, IR filter and color-balancing flash. On the front, the device flashes a 5MP camera with a wide-angle lens for clicking selfies. The budget smartphone comes with 16GB internal memory with an expansion slot through which it can be bumped up to 32GB.


The new G-Series device draw power from its 2, 470mAh non-removable battery that for a moderate user can last a day. A wide array of connectivity options like 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB are offered here.
