I purchased moto g first generation from the flipkart in 13999 in the beginning launch.I am using it from that time only.I have found no any problems till now, I dont think there is even need to change the it.mobile has 1gb processor but still it is able to handle complex games like asphalt without heating and lagging.
The gorrila glass is so smooth.battery backup and camera are average.I would say just go for it, though now third generation is available, which is upgraded version of this mobile.
