This is my 1st review on MS. I have been using this phone for the past 3 months and I can say that I am very much satisfied with it. The phone simply rockz!! I think this is the best touch screen option that u can get at this price range. I paid 13, 300 for the normal version of ROKR E6 (without the wireless headset). I have used quite a few phones in the range of around 15, 000 (Nokia 5500, SE W 810i, Nokia N-Gage etc.) and this phone is loaded with more features than the others that I used.
The call quality is quite good and the stereo wired headphones are also upto the mark. I haven’t faced any call drop problem as I have faced in a LG. The battery life is also quite good for a PDA. I use it approx. for 2+ hrs a day on calls plus the multimedia functions and I have to charge once in 2 days. Full charging takes a lot of time if connected to the USB port; normally it takes 1 1/2 hrs when connected to the normal charger. Messaging takes a bit time to get used to with the mini keyboard, but after a month it was quite normal for me. There is also handwriting recognition for character input. Phone memory is 8 mb and the SMS es are stored there only. Phone book entries are multi-field and are stored on the phone memory.
The 1 GB memory card is cool enough to store ur entertainment files. I have stored some 60 mp3 s, 4 movies (zipped), few video files and still have some 200 mb left. The sound output quality is quite good (SE was better). The loudspeaker is one of the best Ive seen. The phone gives u complete entertainment when u r on the move. The camera (2MP) is good with bright light but no flash.
U can also view ur word, excel, pdf files on the phone. The only problem is u cant edit them. Otherwise for viewing purpose it’s completely okay.
All over this is a very good value-for-money. It doesnt have EDGE and 3G, but in India we hardly require them. This phone looks very sexy and attractive and will really rock
