Well My brother bought a new Nokia 5500 Sport and so how could I be left far behind? I got rid of my 1year old Nokia 6600 as soon as I could- got a pretty good price of Rs 6000 for it.
My search begins:
My brothers 5500 Sport had some pretty nifty features such as a good media player, 2MP camera, Water proof body and many more, but at a price of Rs 15, 000. Was is realy worth it? Thats what I wanted to find out.
The two competitors:
My search narrowed down to Nokia 3230 and Motorola V3i. Well liked these two since they had some good features. However, the keypad of the 3230 is not good- In other fact upto mark. I was a bit sceptical of a Motorola since I had been using a Nokia since long. What the heck!! lets give Motorola a try- thats what I thought a few days ago.
First impression:
Well I was simply dumbstruck with the finish and opening mechanism of the box itself - the way it slides to reveal your Motorola V3i. I incerted the SIM and was ready to begin. The first two days were a bit busy and hard to get by. I have had to go to ofice and ask my friend for help every day (But for only 3 days). Now that I have a hang of it, Ill say that a Motorola is far friendlier than a Nokia. The vedio quality is above par and all my friends agree to it. My office has arround 2000 people on the floor and I can bet that not one guy/girl has passed by me without trying to have a glance at my prized possesion. My friends all queue up to use my cell everyday, at night this phone is like a diamond in sunlight. No-one can miss this phone when you use it.
Satisfaction:
Well I am more than satisfied. This phone has all the features except some sports feature my brothers 5500 has. I love this phone- and its fun to locate something new everyday.
Drawback:
There is only one drawback I could think of - this phone does not have a seperate tab for missed calls. All the calls like missed calls, received calls, dialled numbers are in the same place and so it sometimes gets too compliciated to see which is which. All in all "its a a diamond crafted into a phone and you wont be dissapointed by the amount of attention you receive due to this phone".
