I bought the phone last week. I always wanted a cool music phone, one that is reliable, having good sound quality, and also trendy. The mortorola E8 fits the slot really well. Its stylish, user friendly(especially with its touch scroll. as I call it), and has lots of internal memory(2GB) to store music. It has a 2 mp camera, which works good. The phone comes with a 3 mm audio jack, which means, we can connect any ordinary headset to the phone. There is also the USB charging capability. something really useful. The phone looks and feels really good. The video playback capability is excellent. The screen resolution is also really good.
Another great feature the phone has is the mode shifting keys ie the lighting of the keys changes with the application you are using. Seems to be a deliberate answer to the Apples`ease of use. It serves its purpose though.
One of the coolest feature of the phone is thetalking capability of the phone. That is, the phone can read to you your contacts, emails, messages, icons in the menu word by word. It can really cheer you up sometimes when you recieve a message in your home language, typed in English . It sound`s like a British tourist asking for directions.
It is the best phone at the price. I got it for almost 7k, including the USB cable, a good pair of headset(something which the nokia can never do for this price). It was a great bargain.
It happens to have some cones though. firstly, I fear of scratching the plastic screen which looks vulnerable. The second thing in that the memory sick in inside the cover, its a bit problematic sometimes. The camera though embedded in the main unit does not happen to have an external protective cover. The video recording is not up to the mark. Also, the shop keeper gave me a hint of a potential software problem .its working fine for now.
As I have had the phone for just over a week, I cant say much about the reliability of this model. But it would be reasonable to keep a high expectation as for the brand. .
