This is the first TV product that Motorola has launched after being in the smartphone arena for decades. The Smart TV features a front-firing soundbar-style speaker setup, along with a 30W rated sound output. It is priced at a very comfortable range of Rs. 13, 999 to Rs. 64, 999, depending on the differences in the sizes and resolution. This range comprises of multiple size and resolution options, ranging from 32 inches to 65 inches, and HD to 4K resolutions. The company claims that the new TV lineup has been designed keeping the Indian audiences in mind.
The Motorola smart TV’s lineup will be shipped along with Android 9 Pie TV OS, which is the latest version of Android TV OS so far and it also features HDR and Dolby Vision standard as well as Dolby Audio and DTS TruSurround audio. Motorola also offers a free gamepad which lets the user play games on the TV by downloading games from the Google Play Store directly using the Android TV platform.
The packed-up gamepad differentiates the TVs, increasing their utility as a gaming device without the need for a dedicated gaming console, or screen mirroring. The company is marketing its own technologies to better the performance of its TVs and to accomplish that, the TVs come with autotuneX display technology, amphisound X sound tech and also blazeX that allows it to connect to a wireless Android game controller.
Motorola has ensured that it gets the display part right. It has no bezels on the edges to provide with maximum viewing area and has a frameless design with a slight thick bezel at the bottom. The Motorola Android 9 TV is powered by a MediaTek MT5660 chipset which consists of four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.0GHz and Mali 450 GPU for all its graphical processing needs to be paired with 2.25GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
