I got the Motorola V600 as an offer from AT&T Wireless with 40% discount. I got this beauty of a piece , after trying out NEC 525. This MOTO V600 is really amazing.
The first thing I noticed was that, the reception quality increased dramatically( Even with AT&T Wireless). It has an external antenna which could be helping this. The phone has a impressive cram shell design. The phone is quite sleek and not too bulky. It can easliy fit in your pocket.
The camera is very good, captures good images and has 4x digital zoom which I found is a good feature. There are 3 controls on the outer side of the body to quickly access most used functionalities like changing the phone status mode from loud to soft, vibrate, vibrate & ring and silent. A speaker phone is provided at the back of the phone and the clarity is excellent when hearing but the person on the other side might not always hear us clearly.
Navigation is made with 5-way cursor. You can setup shortcuts for most used functionalities.We can store upto 1000 names in the phone book with email address, home num, work num, fax and pager for each customer. Battery life seems to be good though I haven’t had a chance to bring it to it’s full potential. ( What I mean is that any new battery requires atleast 3 full discharge/recharge to work on it’s full potential, and I have tried only two times yet, since I got this phone). I manage to get 3.5 hours of talk time and a stand by time of nearly four days.
There are two games Stuntman and Bejeweled ( is a trial game). I love the Stuntman( it’s a car race simulation game). Options are available to download JAVA applications/ games. We can store upto 40 Polyphonic tunes. I found the built-in tunes are very simple ones though they are good to hear.
Overall a very good piece and is all the money’s worth you pay. It’s priced around $300 with the plan, though you can a unlocked one for the same price if you look out for the deals.
