First of all this is a budget phone. It definitely gives what it can at the price tag of Rs 2800.
A short summary of its features
1) Crystal talk technology - Moto’s proprietery technology that delivers crystal clear call reception when signal is low or at noisy environments. Its true. I have used L9, ROKR E6 and now W270. Call quality in moto is very high compared to other brands.
2) 2GB MicroSD card slot - MicroSD is one of the cheapest cards. 2GB MicroSD costs around 650 to 700 INR
3) Stereo FM radio with RDS - Reception is good
4) FM recorder - Does the recording great. But only can be used for alarm and stored only in phone memory. It would be a bonus if it is stored in memory card and used as ringtone.
5) USB version 1.1 - Used for transfering music from computer to your MicroSD in W270. Transfer of music is slow. It would be a bonus if the USB Version was 2.0
7) MP3 player - Plays iMelody, MIDI, MP3, AMR formats. Output is decent. But dont expect SE walkman series output. But the output from W270 is better according to me as you can hear music more time without strain unlike SE walkman series model which makes ear tired with its digital sound.
8) Display - CSTN 65K, 128 x 128 pixels, 1.6 inches. The display is ok but appears to be very small due to large vacant space inside the filp. This could have been avoided. External mono display for missed call, messages and Battery charge indicator.
9) Besides these you have clock with alarm, calculator, stopwatch, calendar with scheduled alerts etc etc that a basic phone has.
10) No bluetooth, No IR, No Cam - You should not expect this along with MicroSD Card slot and a decent music player at the price of 2800 INR.
