More organized, Dilwara is neglect

Stayed in Hillock Hotel in Mt Abu. Get the Deluxe rooms, its worth it. Locals do not have luck in getting the deluxe room, NRI can get them easily (You thought Brits were rough on Indians!). The rooms and the service is great. The meals are cheap and the best in the city. 10 people can easily eat for under Rs 1200. It’s the best deal going. The temples up the mountains are great site to see. The view is super.

This time around the city has gotten well organized, that is good!, Lake was cleaner than usual. The locals say that the govt local and state spend umpteen Rs to dig out the trash from the lake. The walk to the lake us suppose to be pedestrians only, like all the other rules in India no one cares, cars jeeps etc get in.

The peace park is a tourist trap, stay out of it, there is nothing good here.

Dewara temple is gotten Black and yellow, Cameras are not allowed. I guess they do not want to be embarrassed and shamed. One this temple had milk white carvings. The guide takes a lot of money to its pocket. The site is a national treasure but is in dumps.

Best thing here is the mountains, if you stay in the city you will miss out.
