Finally the curiosity to know Faisal is over. Ever since I have been hooked to Mouthshut.com, the thought used to come as to who runs this massive website. I haven’t seen him or met him but knew its made up of a bunch of young Turks somewhere in the Middle East or USA. Then I started getting emails from this person, the CEO himself. And that was touching. Then came this opportunity to watch his interview on CNBC.
The interview really bowled me out. It showed how conviction and belief in something couldn’t stop success coming your way. A man who ran a bakery and knew he could achieve something more and better, plunged in to the dot com wagon. And he baked it right.
Faisal’s interview is a must watch for all young entrepreneurs. The way he presents himself was amazing. No Big Talk, yet corporate in looks. No egoistic attitude yet has a way to carry himself. No bullshit jargon yet makes his mark.
He proved that Consumer is the King with reviews on 67, 000 products/brands. Though he admits that it’s difficult to track the authenticity of all reviews written. He says you need to trust the consumer. But to me I feel most of the reviews written are genuine and it helps others to know the experience another consumer has undergone.
At one point I almost got a shock when we were told that may companies had approached him for a takeover, but his confident reply that they were looking for a partner relived me, because nobody will give such a perfection with a personal touch than Faisal. That’s for sure. And another thing that’s for sure is we will keep on writing and make manufacturers/service providers realise the value of the consumer and that the consumer is the King.
For all those who missed it you catch it again on Sunday the 6th November 2005 on at 12.30 p.m. on CNBC.
