A clean and neatly laid out site, the enormous content more than makes up for its shortcomings.
Its quite pointless for me to write about its phenomenal content database. For that just keep reading the various reviews. You could read all of mine for example ;-)
On the poor side:
The home page is cluttered and contains sections that could be done away with. For ex: writer profile - come on, this is not a personal’s site. The focus is the review. Why have just one article under best article of the day? why not top 10 articles of this week?
The new look and feel is soothing, but requires a lot of vertical scrolling. even on my 1280x1024 LCD.
The article editor does not feature enough formatting controls. Only Bold, Italics. No fonts, colours, bullets.
MS runs a lot of dubious contests, the results of which are never declared. MS also sends you the weekly spam under the name Jasmine Ahuja.
MS does not review anything by themselves. No testing, no laboratory. Just a motley collection of ravers and ranters.
Articles in MS could be presented in a more logical threaded manner (Subject, article/s, replies). Articles could also be presented by Writer.
Writing a correction / reply / comment does not push the article to the top of the stack (perhaps not such a bad feature after all)
Anyways, its quite an amazing site and I suggest you contribute.
