Topics like this one and Rating Reviews open
up a line of communication between us, the
members of MS. We get to know each other
better, learn from each others approach to
reading, rating and writing.
My feeling is that the Circle of Trust is
viewed much differently by each of us. Yet
the bottom line is much the same.
There is a fairly stable criteria for rating
reviews as you can physically see the words
before you. However, I feel that trust is another
story.
A written review is tangible. It is good or it
is not so good. Subjective ? Yes, but still
very tangible. Trust however, is not only reading
the review, but a feeling you get from its’ author,
what they are saying and the feelings theyve put
into that review.
I have people in my trusted circle for the following
reasons:
They write well and provide excellent reviews
I happen to like their writing style (plus content)
For the most part, they are courteous and helpful
Humor and a “lighter side” to their views
They seem to care about the sight they write for and their fellow writers
Sometimes, all it take is reading one review and a
gut feeling to be added to my Circle of Trust.
So, to all of you included in my COT, thank you, you
are there for a good reason. To those of you who have
placed me on their COT, thank you for trusting me.
