In the age of congested and extravagant multiplexes, Star City is like an oasis where one can truly relax. Situated in a by-lane in Matunga at the site of a previous multiplex (is there some irony there !!!!) which I remember as Badal, Bijli and Barkha from my childhood, it is a peaceful and quiet place to go to when you want to unwind.
The overlying large trees cast a wonderful shade over the site even in the middle of the afternoon. There’s adequate parking space and the watchman goes out of his way to get your car parked correctly.
The staff are courteous and polite and even tell you sometimes if a movie is worth going to !!!!! (probably if you are a regular customer). The popcorn stand s are just a bonus. The theatre itself has comfortable seats and good ambience. The sound system is adequate. And most important the crowds are manageable , unlike a multiplex where even an adult could get lost and bemused.
So folks, look at Star City for a place to have fun and relax !!!!!
