Suburbia theatre at Bandra in Mumbai is in the vicinity of the famous and oldest G7 theatre(Gaitey, Galaxy, Gemini, Gossip, Glamour, Gem, and Grace). While G7 is low on budget and has crowd from lower middle class to upper class, Suburbia mostly has a sophisticated crowd. There are a couple of movie that I have watched here and my theatre experience has been very fine. Be it the seating arrangement or the sound quality or the screen, everything is really good.
However, I would like to share an experience with Suburbia which was exceptionally generous and it is one reason why I would keep going back here and have trust in the staff out here. Recently we had booked two tickets in advance for a show at Suburbia through Bookmyshow.com. On the day that we were supposed to go watch the movie, one of our neighbor passed away. So, my mom had asked us to cancel the movie plan. Now the tickets were around some Rs. 250 each.
I wasn’t hopeful about Suburbia cancelling and refunding the amount, as this is a facility only on basis of goodwill. But I had no sort of rapport with any of their staff. However, I tried my luck and went to their counter about an hour before the show, and explained them my reason behind cancelling and requesting the refund. I was either very lucky or the staff was extremely genuine to not only give condolence but also take the tickets back and return me my money. So Kudos to the staff at Suburbia.
