Firefox is a pretty good browser by itself, but what really differentiates it from the crowd is the so-called extensions. These extensions are small programs of about 100 KB each that can be added onto the browser and are available for download on the Mozilla web-site.
I havent tried all of them, but a couple that I would highly recommend are the AdBlock and the Dictionary search programs. Both the program names are self explanatory, so I wont go into a detailed explanation of each. Just try this test on two popular web-sites and see the difference for yourself:
Install Adblock on firefox and the setup the following filters:
/ad
/banner
doubleclick
fastclick
zedo
advertising.com
atdmt.com
instacontent.net
gator.com
Now open up https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/ and https://hindustantimes.com/ in your current browser(s) and Firefox. TRUST ME, you will never again use anything but Firefox.
Dictionary search is another neat little program that adds an option on Right Click to look up the definition of the selected word. Simple, yet very handy.
So go ahead, have fun and let us know if you find more cool stuff for this browser.
