Bhandardara is a small village situated in the western ghats. This place is heaven during monsoons. It’s secluded with just one hotel apart from MTDC, no atms and low/no mobile connectivity. But this is what makes it a perfect weekend getaway where all one wants is to be away from the city’s hustle bustle. If you’re planning on a romantic getaway, make sure you book the lake view room at MTDC.
Make sure you do the booking at least a month in advance as there is no facility of on the spot booking & most often the lake view rooms are not available.
The rooms are clean and tidy. The canteen food is pathetic. I would recommend you to visit the neighboring hotel restaurant.
Do sit by the lake with your partner and watch the sun set.:)
