Welcome to MTNL Triband service which promises very fast broadband connection for surfing. I had tried applying for it through the website but I have not received any response to that. May be they would respond to it next year. I had next choice of calling up 1500 to do booking as per their advetisements in local newspapers. The attendent was kind enough to tell me that I need to visit local telephone exchange and fill up form with Quick Customer Service Desk. This is their usual procedure for other services.
I don’t understand if the same was to be followed for TRIBAND also then why they have been advertising and wasting our time.
I have walked in to Versova exchange and filled up the form as per their requirements on 3rd June. I was promised connection within one weeks time.
I have not heard from them since then. Once I received call from someone in the exchange whether I have really applied for the same. The person disconnected the phone before I could say anything more than YES.
I am yet to see any progress on this front. The local cable operator gives internet connection within a day and also with lot of flexible plans. I don’t understand how MTNL would be able to compete with such people if they don’t improve thier service levels.
I have read other reviews and see that the connection speed is being praised. I have also opted for MTNL service because of this. The technology is in their favor but they mess up because of service levels.
I hope they improve their service levels to meet technology they are using.
