I have had the Triband connection for a while now, but I didn’t really feel like writing a review......I am too lazy I guess! But after the floods in Mumbai, when everything from mobiles to landlines was down....I was surprised to see the Triband on continuously. Rock solid service from apna sarkaari MTNL!! That’s when I thought I just have to wrtie a review.
The speeds are excellent...I get around 26-28 KB/s as against the ideal speed of 32 KB/s. I have taken the Night Unlimited pack, so large downloads can be done between 12-8 @ night. The service has hardly seen any downtime....and even when it was down, the service is back up with 5-10 mins at the most. Never more than that.
The service personnel as always, are the typical sarkaari type. That’s the only con with the service. The installation itself, took many many phone calls to the exchange, to their divisional engineer and everyone! But once the service was installed......no need of customer support. So the loust customer care didn’t really affect me much.
On the whole an excellent service.

I am located about 1-2 km from the exchange...
Well, I pay 590 per month, exclusive of service taxes. For that I get free 500 MB of downloads in day time (8:01 to 23:59).....and unlimited downloads @ night (from 00:00 to 8:00).
