Update 1: April 24, 2006
Upgraded D-Link DSL-502T firmware version to V2.00B01T01.ML.20050530.
Wow... what a difference it makes! My effective bandwidth has jumped to 236.99 kbps (from an earlier 224.24 kbps)!!
Ive connected both my PC (USB NDIS) and laptop (Ethernet) simultaneously to the router. TriBand connectivity is 100% rock steady and have never faced even a semblance of a problem till date.
Congrats, once again, MTNL! This is marvelous!! I very strongly recommend your service to every other Mumbai-ite!!!

I obtained an ADSL2+ broadband connection from MTNL yesterday (they call it TriBand).
Wow... what speed! Im getting about 27 kilobytes per sec download (equiv to about 221 kbps), probably because I’m about 1.5 k.m. from the Exchange (Mumbai...Mulund-West). Setup was a breeze... just had to plug & play!
Congrats to MTNL for bringing the hottest new technology simultaneously with countries like Australia and U.K.
Looking back, it took more than 3 hours to register my application at the local Exchange, over two weeks of waiting till MTNL checked and rechecked line quality (the line even went dead one day... fortunately resumed the next morning even before I could register a complaint), but just 10 minutes to set up before I could test its download speed!
A pleasant surprise... The telephone voice quality has suddenly improved several fold! It now sounds crystal clear on a line that was cursed with poor amplitude and frequent crosstalk!
My advice to MTNL, our veteran Indian Schumi... Improve your customer service, and you’ll make Reliance look like Kartikeyan!!
