Well, Ive had MTNL now for two months, and WHAT a difference! Let me tell you the good and the bad.
Firstly, it would do you well to read the history of all this at https://mouthshut.com/review/Iqara_Broadband-113966-1.html
Dont even THINK about Siffy, Iqara / YouTel.
I went into MTNL and found the usual mad house of people coming and going, and ALL trying to be at the head of the que. :-) But the sales personnel are a literal WONDER. Calm, cool and so very friendly. So very willing to help in every way. I ordered the tri-band service with unlimited 512kbps for just Rs.599 per month and its a joy to get streaming video without having to wait for it all to download in hiccups and then watch it through again. The time savings has been marvelous.
BUT thats not even the best thing yet! The service received is beyond anything Ive ever experienced even in the States! I kid you not. The service was up and installed faster than anything. Now Ill mention that I live in an area not far from their substation where I have a copper wire connection for this tri-band service, and there is no question that would be an enormous benefit. (It IS!). But almost every day their system goes down and that is not good. This is the reason I cannot give them 5* for everything. When the system went down, however, I was able to be connected to a service team within seconds of my call in for support! They would step me through the system and Id be up and running again within only minutes. This problem continues to happen, but I know how to do it myself without having to call them, and so Im just about 99% as happy a customer as I ever could be.
Its hard to believe but I have on three separate ocassions had their support personnel stop by the house to make sure everything was up and working correctly!!! THAT is service over, above and beyond the call of duty. Moreover, I dont know how many phone calls Ive received asking if everything is working correctly!
Yes, Im still in the "honeymoon" stage with MTNL, but from these past two months Im very, very happy. Their prices, service and connections speeds rival any Ive ever had in the world. Having lived on five continents and six Islands of the world, gives me the right to say that, and emotions to speak as I have!
Last advices, FORGET Iqara, Siffy & YouTel.
Best to all!
Dan
