All is swell with an MTNL Triband connection until your CPE (router) stops working. One fine day mine did and it took the MTNL guys a month (after 11 complaints in 1504) to come and replace the CPE!!!!
Also there is a problem with port forwarding my D-Link ADSL Router DSL-502T.So u cannot use torrent clients.
This is a lowdown as serious downloaders need to use these networks to get real stuff from the internet.
Getting a 256 Kbps line in your home and just using a simple P2P client to download stuff is lame and you got to get into these networks to get some real stuff. though you will be connected to the network using a bit torrent client or a bit comet/ Azurius client, but you will be getting speeds of only 3-4 Kbps !!!!!!
There is no facility of port forwarding in the CPE’s provided by MTNL.
Thus all you can do is plain old surf or use a lime wire client.
