I have been using MTS dongle for the past four months. The connection speed and the service quality is good. But the only problem I face is that every day I get at least five to ten calls of the following nature in my alternate number registered with MTS:
1) Reminder calls for bill payment(even if bills have been paid well ahead of time)
2) Location Addresses to pay bills
3) Other services offered by MTS
4) Service Feedback
Since I travel a lot a good number of calls eat up my roaming minutes as well. I have reported this to DoT and after two days of apologetic gesture and a week of hiatus, the calls started again this week more aggressively(a kind of retaliation because I complained to DoT)?
Now the customer care is responding that when signing up for MTS we actually consent receiving to telemarketing calls from them and the only way to opt out is to surrender MTS account in Toto or live with the telemarketing calls.
This complaint has been re-escalated to DoT, but there has not been any revert on it from MTS hitherto.
