Purchased this filthy modem, because an MTS executive came at my door and promised so many good things about the modem mentioning that it gives you 9.8MBPS at most times, and if not atleast you will surely get 4Mbps speed with upto 40Gb download.
Since I needed this type of speed for online video conference calls and other professional work, I purchased this modem, without thinking anything.
My nightmare began, immediately after I purchased this modem, 1st they took 1 week for activation, and once it got activated, it never gave speed more then 512Kbps, Forget 9.8 Mbps. Rarely or occasionally I used to get speed of 750Kbps or 1Mbps, when I complained to MTS customer care and their appellate authority the reply I got from them was very shocking, I was told that I should be contented with what speed I am getting and it is sufficient for me to do my work, . It is a decent speed. I told them I will not pay the bill since, I was not happy with their promises and the actual results of their internet speed.
I also have Airtel & Aircel modems which at all times gives a speed of 1.5Mbps,
I had send to MTS the screen shots of speed test at various times an different days, on none of the day the speed showed above 512Kbps, even after sending this proof they stick to."YOU ARE GETTING A DECENT SPEED"
I now plan to go for consumer redressal forum.
