MTS - Worst USB data card

MTS Number: 9146808419

Whomsoever Concerned,

I got the USB back in 2009 and it had always worked at an average level of expectations till 2011. The speed was decent and connectivity, though on and off, was still good.

I am a prepaid customer and I used to top up amounts based on my monthly travel requirements, so never had much of issues for two years.

Problem started when I decided to shift full-time to MTS and shut my fixed line broadband at home. I took the 999 unlimited plan with 12 gb of broadband usage for free and then the speed goes to 1x. The technical experts(morons) at MTS very diligently cut off my broadband speed after 12 GB, but never remembered to put it back to broadband speed at your next recharge. I had to call them up every month after my recharge, spend time and money on the call for diagnostics till they finally understood and rectified the problem - until it repeated again next month. First time it took 5 days, 2nd month it took 8 days and 3rd month it never got rectified till the entire month was over(thus wasting my full recharge of 999 - as none of my Citrix/VDI/Outlook and other office applications worked at 1x speed).

The same problem was repeated with a friend who was using postpaid 1000 per month plan(whom I had unfortunately referred to MTS)

I finally got a new fixed line broadband and a Tata Photon data card(which is expensive, but reliable)

Please STAY AWAY from MTS, esp the unlimited plans.
