MTV-MUSIC Television...well at least that’s what it USED to be back in the good ol’ days. The few times I’ve been channel surfing and happened to stop to watch it I was disgusted. Just mindless stupid shows now. Where did the music go??? Oh wait-you can get that on MTV2, if youre ’’lucky’’ enough to get it.
I’m a proud 80s child so I grew up when MTV was first starting out. I remember VJs like Mark Goodman, ’’Downtown Julie Brown’’, Riki Rachtman, Adam (the guy with the teased up moussed up blonde hair), Martha Quinn, and the like. I remember MUSIC shows like DialMTV, HeadBanger’s Ball, and ClubMTV. I remember them showing concert specials and Rockumentaries. Anyone else remember any of this? This to me is when MTV was GOOD...not what it is now. (Ever watch Celebrity DeathMatch? What’s the point? Even though it’s only claymation it’s too disgusting even for me! UGH!)
Very disappointing, to say the least. Not recommended.
