Boss my almost fully written review got lost when by mistake I pressed the link..
so here I m , not to give expert comment on this Epic stroy, just to share my feelings that rises up fill me up with same thrill whenever I see it...
now that they have made it colored, earlier my mind was preoccupied against it.
but after seeing the colored version in Forum mall, bangalore, when it was released like a new film.
i felt the dignity and Aura of the film is not at all disturbed by changing the color.
in fact it adds beauty and dimension to cinematography otherwise the painstakingly detailed sets and background could have never sought our attention...
Great work of Technology in reviving this Age old Classic..
about the story, it was said that 20 % may be from history,
rest 80 % was dramatization of the story..
sometimes the stroy is not so important or significant as the way the Storyteller (read director) tells u .. which addds thrill.., passion and affection between u and the movie.
directed by K. asif the films main soul lies in the legendary words (read dialogues)
but its sad to know that many of us dont know about that legend genius who wrote the dialogue.
he was Aman, who wrote the dialogues as well as the screenplay..
the film tells the story between a Father and Son who unfortunately are the King and crown prince of a great dynasty.
The great Badshah Jalaluddin Mohammed Akbar and the crown prince. Shehzada Nooruddin Mohammad Saleem.
there comes a beautiful CATerina( read Aandhi not katrina kaif !) and the Shehzada is ready to break all boundaries and shed all responsibility just to fetch her..
and the Badshah roars :
" Mughaon ki saltantat ke Taj ko ek Rakkasha ke pairon ki Pajeb banana chahte ho..
Maloom hua ki Shehjade Hindustan ke Takt ke ek Laundiya ko nachana chahte hai...."
The soul and jaan of this movie is the Great Prithiraj kapoor...
no one could have made this words as meaningful as his distinct kingsize voice...
i think he is the Greatest king character ever to appear on Silver Screen... what u say ????
there are other characters in the film too..
Durga khote as Jodha bai..
Ajit as Durjan singh..
oh I forgot Dilip Saab as Salim..
but its my personal feel that this is the film in which dilip saab seems dominated by any other character..
this is truly a film of Late Prithvi Raj kapoor...
hope after this review, apka dil Zaroor karega ek baar aur Dekhne ko this legendary film..
and yes u will start loving Urdu after seeing this movie..
good luck...
Do rate......
Good day.
God bless u... :-)
