Like the title of my review says, what can I say?Iam a certified Hindi movie buff like so many of us Indians.But the way these people take us for a ride all the time by feeding us puerile stuff.This movie is not all that bad, but the main idea of a silent type lover who takes so much time to declare his love for the woman he loves is too hard to stomach.Especially in these modern times of the Internet, ICQ, and the MSN Messenger service.How can Satish Kaushik make us see such a yarn.If he wants an original story he can come to me.I got a dozen floating in my head right now.Well then on to the story.It is all about Karan a boy from Delhi who always fools around earning the ire of his father(Dalip Tahil).His sister ably played by Rinke Khanna adores him a lot but she also frowns down on his ways.Then comes Puja(Kareena Kapoor)in his life and it is all stations go.He yearns for all the time dreaming about her and going to New Zealand in his dreams wasting the producer’s money and my time.All this takes roughly around 3 hours and the ending is a bit unconventional.That is one of the few concessions the movie gives the viewer.Tusshar is good, he is not star material.He will do well.Give him some time.Like his father Jeetendra he also dances well.Amrish Puri as his Godfather really whoops it up and has a ball of a time.He has some of the good lines in the film.The music by Anu Malik is really good.The Rabba Rabba song is really hummable and is picturised with zest.The camerawork is quite good and pleasing to the eyes.The best always comes the last.Kareena Kapoor.She is mind blowing, beauty wise and in her histrionics also.People will wonder what was there for her to act in the movie except for the song and dance.Her presence in the movie is electric and her expressions are really good, especially in the denouement.Go see this flick if you have time to kill, money to spend and are in the mood to see Kareena after Refugee.
