Hello friends. Today I went to watch Mulk. To my utter disappointment, the movie did not turn out to be mind-boggling enough as the trailers had promised before the movie got released.
I felt that the scriptwriter Anubhav Sinha has just tailored several communal and terrorism-related incidents in India in recent past and therein woven a plot to produce only a conventional movie with no interesting twists& turns in the plot.
It is still not clear to me as to how an intelligent, educated and responsible citizen like Murad Ali Mohammed(Rishi Kapoor) didn’t even get a hint of his nephew Shahid(Prateik Babbar) laundering into wrong paths and getting involved in serious anti-national activities like Allahabad bomb blast.
We can still consider Bilal(Manoj Pahwa) to be a not-so-educated character but, this type of negligence from Murad makes the story only a tale of casual and callous parenting.
So friends, in my opinion, the movie does not beckon a must-watch scenario since I didn’t find any lucrative innovation or any unique idea involved in the plot of the movie.
