Hello friends, I wanted to share my experience with you. I stay at Santacruz and was about to reach the station. I was standing near the door of the train compartment. I saw everything by my eyes. All of a sudden a big blast took place in the train in which I was travellling and people were thrown out of the running train. It was the scene which I was not able to believe my eyes. Soon train stopped and people started jumping out of the train. Luckily there was no trains passing by, adding to the tragedy. We instructed ladies passenger not to panic and to get down slowly. Blast victims which fell, some were lying near the train and few were lying far away. We were shocked and didn’t know how to proceed. I was trying hard to get in touch with police and ambulance but all in vain. People which fell, were alive and immediate measures needed to be taken. People started pouring in from Golibar area. Then we lifted the critically injured people and carried them. We requested the other people to bring autos and appealed people from the building to throw bedsheets. Some political leaders tried to approach but the furious people send them back. Soon injured were carried, dead bodies were taken out of the train coach carried them to the nearest V.N.Desai hospital. We tried to maintain the discipline since it was too crowded and didn’t denied the possibility of other blast within the same train. Remember this all the things were done by the people and there was not a single police or any government body. Once again it has been proved that its only people for people who have helped in every tragic situation. Once again our security system is exposed and security of Mumbaites is not safe. The spirit of Mumbai was challenged once again and we have shown ’What we can do’. I hope affected people will recover soon and provide all support for everybodies wellness.
