Needed to book one way trip for 3 adults + 1 child, one way to Dadar, Mumbai from Pashan, Pune. Wasn’t very excited to see reviews about eCabs - as it’s a Middle man. So decided to go with this.
From the information given on site (https://mumbaipunetaxi.com/index.html) was able to reach a person (at +912026135784) and get details about how the service would work. This part was pretty okay as he suggested appropriate vehicle and gave pricing information including any extra charges etc.
Following was decided for the service:1) 1 hour notice to arrive for pick-up 2) Pick-up would be charged extra at Rs.1003) Suggested car was AC-Full taxi booked for Rs. 1420/- (naturally assumption was AC will be ON all the time, unless for any technical reasons)4) We had requested 2 additional stops at Wakad and Kharghar with 30-45 mins stops at each place. We had agreed to pay Rs. 150 (total) extra for these stops.
Experience:1) Driver arrived LATE about an hour from the decided time.Cab no# 8664 (Driver -Surendra Singh - 9867664347)
2) When first stop at wakad was taken the driver started complaining that they don’t deviate much from the expressway. Was unprofessional and rude while talking to Women/Ladies.
3) 2 passengers (5 yr old kid and her Grandma) were waiting in the car while other 2 visited a office for 10/15 mins for some business. The driver turned OFF the A/C in this scorching summer in Pune. When confronted, again rude argument, unprofessional behaviour with little or no manners.
4) My family decide to let go of the cab and had to pay Rs. 300 for his "services" rendered.
5) Family was stranded at the business/office site with luggage until they managed alternative cab. They all went through a very bad physical and emotional toll the whole afternoon.
6) I called the Pune service office and talked to Mr. Sheikh. He listened to my case patiently and suggested to submit a written complaint at the Mumbai (head quarter) about this. I will be acting on this and will update this review to inform about that experience.
Lessons learnt - either arrange your own taxi from a RELIABLE resource/friend or use the public transport (Buses/Volvo or Trains).
Driver’s attitude is leaving us with a bad taste about the service and we will definitely NOT go for any cab service on the fly.
