Munnar is a beautiful hill station different from other hill stations in India (not a crowded place) and is sure a lifetime experience, especially if you are ready to shell out a few extra bucks for a week and enjoy the stay at the Mahindra Club Resort.
Visit the highest point in the world where tea is grown, its called Korukulamai..dont leave this out.There are a few other places where you can go as well like cardamom gardens on the way to the lake which you can confirm in Munnar
Shoppers can buy Korukumalai tea and other spices.
The Only Flip Side:
Travelling expenses are very high.Getting to Munnar can be very tiring especially if you intend to come by bus.Journey from Ernakulam or Cochin to Munnar is roughly 5.30-6 hours.If you are single or with friends, bus is ideal till Munnar town, costs much much less as compared to 1500 bucks from Ernakulam airport.
I had been there has a honeymoon couple in early Dec 2003 and still cherish those 7 days, Im sure you will as well.
The pros are so many, the cons are negated
