Munnar is located in Idukki district of kerala. I live in Idukki district and so I am proud to say that Munnar is situated in my district.
The most attractive feature of Munnar is it’s very cool temperature and plantations. It is always surrounded by mist always.
As this is a world renowned tourist spot it is connected by national and state highways and rural roads.
The Nilgiri hills in munnar is covered by neelakurinji plants which blossoms once in every twelve years.
Once this flower blossoms the entire hills will be covered by lavender colored flowers which gives the tourists a heavenly atmosphere.
As lakh’s of tourists visit munnar every year there are lots of hotels to accommodate people which varies from normal ones to 7star hotels.
Even though the rural roads are surrounded by forest there are forest guards and enforcers to ensure the safety of the tourists.
