I am my brother live in Chennai. We stay at our parents home located in West Mambalam. Since there is a lockdown going on in Chennai due to the Covid-19 pandemic we have to depend on restaurants for food as our parents are living in our village.
Yesterday me and my brother Shashank went to the Murugan Idly located at Arya Gowda Road, West Mambalam. We placed our order for Idly / Dosa / Chapathi.
My younger brother wanted to use the toilet at the restaurant and requested the cashier to help him out. Firstly the cashier denied that they do not have the facility in their restaurant.
When my brother asked him how do you guys manage sitting the whole day, the rude and nasty cashier said "We urinate in bisleri water bottles and store it near the kitchen and later throw it out. He added if you are in an urgency to urinate then you can also do the same. We were shocked to hear such words from the cashier of this restaurant.
The cashier didnt mind talking such a nasty thing in front of a lady. I felt like vomitting then and there. Yuck!
We took the parcel and came out and threw it in the dustbin thinking how dirty the cooks will be when the cashier himself admits to it that they store the urine filled bottles in the kitchen.
During the testing times of Covid-19 pandemic, I would advise the general public, not to visit Murugan Idly at Arya Gowda Road, West Mambalam(Chennai) since it is the dirtiest restaurant I have ever been to or even place online orders.(Basis the words used by the cashier)
I have never seen a guy behave and talk like this who works in a reputed restaurant like Murugan Idly. Such people should be sacked.
I also would like to request Mr. R. Sakkarapani, Minister of Food and Civil Supplies to check this restaurants health and safety measures during the Covid-19 pandemic and if required seal the restaurant for good keeping in mind the health and safety of the people living in Chennai.
I am sure that the guys working over there dont follow any cleanliness and should be penalized by the state government in view of public health and safety.
Thank you!
