Mussoorie not Mussourie is a place for nature lovers to enjoy slowly. Good if one can walk in the hills. It is different in different seasons. Nature changes with all seasons. Sometimes you may find different shades of colour and nature within few moments. If you are a nature freak and can enjoy the silence of the woods, you will like walking through the woods in hills and on mountains besides seeing the normal spots. Besides normal summer season and Autumn season, Rainy Season and Winters have their own charm. Though it doesn’t snow here so much as it used to. Even the main part has become a jungle of concrete - but thank to Supreme Court judgement - construction is not much now there - even the spoilt hills due to lime stone mining have turned green.
One will enjoy the walks or horse riding on the Camel’s Back road. Crowd in Kulri and Mall during the tourist seasons. Hotel rates fluctuates during the different part of the year. You can find British time buildings in different parts. Sister Bazar and Lal Tibba will transport you to the Victorian Age. One can track to the nearby areas. It is a good getaway for small periods of 2-3 days for people from nearby places. Well to enjoy the beauty of ’Queen of Hills’ you have to have an eye for the beauty and inclination to walk ... as just moving in a car will not let you be charmed by the magic there.
