Very good book

My Antonia is a book about a prairie boy growing up. The main character is named Jim. The book begins with him leaving his previous home and going to Nebraska.

In the course of the book you get to know his world, including the people in it. By the end it feels as if the reader has grown up in the same town as Jim, the main character, and all his friends. You do not only follow his life but all of his friends and family’s lives as well. By the end of the book every character is part of you. It is a happy book, with all the issues tied up at the end.

If there has to be a con it would be that it is a little slow at the beginning. It is amazing that a woman could tell such a believable account of a boy growing up.
