There are movies that make you wonder why you waste the 2 hours sitting in a cinema, and of late these types seem to be in majority. But thankfully, there also come a few like My Big Fat Greek Wedding which leave you with a feeling of giddy happiness. I absolutely loved the film. The story was nice, funny and romantic. But what may have been the crucial difference was the new and fresh faces, all the actors were new to me and yet delivered great performances. Not going too much into the movie now coz I gotta go!
Even if you think that stereotype romantic comedies are the pits, and think humor from the west at times is cheap, saucy, loud and jerky- I still recommend you to see the movie! It was funny the first time. Funny and touching the second time. And, when I saw it on DVD again, I realised that some parts were slapstick, YET, it is NOT an overrated or hyped flick. Watch it!
