A documentary on AIDS+ GAYS

INTRO

First thing first, If you want some critical acknowledgement for your movie, why dnt u try some movie on social topic ? And the funda seems to be , more the social dose infused in to the movie and bigger taboo the topic is, more critical applause the movie wud get. Sanjay Suri seemed to have followed this formula while making his latest flick (my brother Nikhil...............) or was it a movie , its better if we address it as a documentary.

REACTION OF PPL I saw this movie at Wave multiplex and there were hardly 40 ppl in the theatre and on my way out after the movie I heard a mum whispering to his son ’’ Don’t force me to watch every movie in theatre, it’s better if u watch such movies at home (pirated stuff)’’

PLOT- Story is based at beautiful Goa , but I guess u need more then good locations for better results. Story is about Nikhil (A GAY) played by Sanjay Suri , his sister (Juhi) Who is looing like his mother (Completely outta shape), Purab (Another gay) and whole lot of other young actors and actresses and yeah Victor Baneerji (Nikhil’s dad) .

Victor wanted his son Nikhil to be a swimming champ which he could not able to acomplish when he was of his sons age . Unfortunately, Nikhil falls pray to AIDS (oops not aids but he was HIV +). Since the time period in the movie was late eighties, AIDS was not so popular at that point of time. The story revolvs around how Nikhil was bycotted by his parents and society after his disease comes to light , to be survived by a gay partner (Purab) and his elder sis (Juhi). They fight against society and system to see Nikhil die a peaceful death in the end.

Silver lining- PURAB. Couldn’t think of anyone who had executed role of a gay in a such a manner that at the end of the movie HEART THROB purab seems more of a gay than anything else. He has lost around 10 kgs for the role. He seemed to have adapted perfectly with that 80s look. Which gay on this planet wouldn’t miss purab after this movie. Other than that all actors were awesome and leave an impact on ur mind.

Cons------- Countless to start with

Slow pace is disgusting.

Even if u take a nap in between you would not miss much.

Poor script.

Too much lull between dialouges Wud loose the race even if u watch it with the documentary mindset .

If u wanna watch it, watch it for the message.
