It was very interesting and lucrative advertisements from Mydentist that promised to give world class dental services to Indians at affordable cost that took me to them, but all my perceptions were washed off after taking treatment at MyDentist.
I had 2 teeth removed 2 years ago on the right upper side due to cavity.I was suppose to get the crown bridge on it(2+1=3 teeth. I did not had any pain or any other issue with that teeth area except that while smiling, the gap in the teeth was visible. This year I decided to get the crown bridge done at MyDentist clinic at Bhayander West near Maxus Mall. I visited the clinic on May 21 and the same day my treatment started.
The doctors gave me an estimation of INR12000 for 3 teeth crowns(less 20% discount on Citibank card). I agreed & the treatment started.The doctor immediately started to cut the teeth for levelling and as pre-cap process. But it seems that they were trainees from some institutes and did not understand the root cause of any treatment been done. While the cutting of the teeth, my gums were been cut at various places, the teeth were been cut deep inside till the nerve area causing unbearable pain and overall the anaesthesia injections been given improperly leaving the gums bleeding. It took nearly 7-10 days and 3-4 seatings to take the measurement & the actual crown to be fitted. In all these days I was unable to eat or even close my mouth completely. After 10 days when the crown was been fitted the pain increased manifold and unbearable. The inexperienced doctors at MyDentist kept guessing the pain as normal sensitivity issue and kept prescribing gel and tablets for same. This treatment was not going to help and did not help in any way. I kept requesting them to take a X-Ray of my teeth area to get a clear understanding of the pain but the doctors neither through their(In) experience nor through my detailing of the pain, could understand the cause of my pain. In a month’s time I was been treated by 3(Trainee type) lady doctors and none could offer satisfactory solution to my pain cause.
On June 26, I was been referred to a senior doctor and at that time he instructed his assistants for X-Ray and than it was revealed that the cutting of teeth was improper and has caused damage by cutting till the nerve. He also diagnosed that there were live tooth below the bridge crown which would need Root Canal Treatment. He also stated that the entire treatment has to be done by their Specialist Dentist and the additional cost estimation was appx.INR 15000. The treatment is proposed to be starting on July 2, 2014.
This is nearly an extortion and injustice to the patients. Due to the treatment by inexperienced doctors at MyDentist, I am due to incur twice the cost and with pain which is truly unbearable.The overall treatment was just unforgettable and scary.I seriously advise all the patient to keep away from the marketing gimmicks by MyDentist and trust their old good and experienced local dentists. This way all the patients can save their valuable money and get quality service(without that unnecessary pain & trouble). I will make sure to keep posting my this review across all social media platforms & forums to publicize it utmost.
