It is one of the finest hindi movies I have seen. It lives up to all its expectations. Terrorism does kill poeple in a bomb blasts, but for some it affects thier lives after that also. It touches some of the most sensitive issues today i.e. terrorism and its after effects. Everything in the movie doesnt looks overboard and is a very realistic picture of how it can ruin on’e life.
When I say finest I mean that the performances are remarkable for sure. This was expected from Srk-kajol anyhow. Also the kind of message is one of its first kind in an out and out commercial bollywood movie. This movie is best to watch with friends, family and spouse or practically anyone.
Some of the best scenes in the movie were actually some of the best in hindi movies till date. They are power packed and very real.
1) Srk mother telling her about the kind of poeple ..good and bad and her trying to instill good values in her children. It was because of her that srk and her brother were bonded even after her death.
2) srk taking Kajol to all places in SFO in the hope that she would not have seen them. In that case she would say for their marriage.
3) Srk-Kajol marriage and their first night after that.
4) Fat African lady hugging srk when he helps her son and then the Church scene where they assemble to pray for the martyrs.
5) Srk writing on placard "Repair almost everything" and standing on the highway.
6) Kajol crying over her dead son’s corpse.
7) Hurricane in the village. One of the best shot in hindi films.
8) Srk-Kajol meeting the president.
Guys its my first review. I have tried to keep it as short and simple as I can.
Performance- With big stars like SRK and Kajol..you can expect a lot of real life performances. The performances are great.
Songs- There could have been more songs.
The film- I think it is a masterpiece. However, I do wish that the romance between srk-kajol could have more scenes to it. And Khan’s journey could be shortened a little bit. The overall movie expericence however is greatttttt.
Go for the movie with your heart in place. You will actually be able to feel the pain of Mandira and innocence of Khan.
