As I dont really feel like writing much about the movie. Where do I start from Once again an SRK film releasing and his fans going overboard about it. Anyways that has become a regular feature of their character now and nothing really can be done about it. Anyways, here is my review, rather thoughts on the movie. Divide MNIK into 2 halves and youll find a difference of North and South Poles similar.
The first half is very very very boring. Bores you to an extent that you might want to get up and leave from there. The whole episode of Rizwan having some Syndrome is not well tackled in the first half and he is seen trying to get it right but then fails. Cant write more about the first half which was dominated by SRKs over-acting, Yet again. He was cheesy, geeky and overtly-trying-innocent. I loved it when Kajol enters the Parlour with the Green Jacket on and comes out with a Yellow Jacket. May be the par lour also colors clothes.
The 2nd half is where the team scores some points. Specially the "We shall overcome" scene at the Georgia Church. The 2nd half is more briskly paces with some would not say remarkable but yes some good scenes. The message that Rizwan wanted to give "my name is Khan and I m not a terrorist " was clear. Here the movie scored a 3.5 on 5.
Its a film full of flaws though and Gay Jo tries to do well, but how can he, its just not his forte. The reason why Kajol agreed to marry SRK is "not so convincing". Might say that this is one of the better SRK films in the past 5-6 years. Off course CDI was much better than this. Would relate to Kabir Khan more than Rizwan Khan.
SRKs performance is ok so is kajols. Rest of the cast is ok too.
Overall - 2.5 out of 5.
Bottom line: No matter how Hard SRK tried, he will never ever overcome Aamir. Just by releasing 1 film a year doesnt make you aamir khan. you need to have that talent also.
