“You don’t know him JAY SEAN is his name”. Well Kamaljit Singh or should I say Jay Sean is up and totally up with his album, My Own Way. It is a compilation of great RnB music and great upgrading in vocals by an ordinary brown-Asian guy. The music is so astounding that you get goose bumps listening every song. Me Against Myself was a cry from a boy but here you see that boy mature.
*Ride It**: amazing, heartfelt music picks up the song tremendously to its height. Jay is famishing here in a way of sounding so great and sumptuous that you feel like eating him up. Lyrics are cool and Jay’s vocals are very chocolaty, smooth and rich in emotions. Great song!
*Cry**: again fantastic music. Jay’s vocals are truly outstanding here. His voice is very rich and the way he does his false; that’s totally very fascinating. The lyrics are meaningful and although the song may sound slow for a few people but that is the good thing about it. It has a great flow and a very smooth drive; Jay leads this song very aptly.
*Waiting**: after a few expressive songs, here things get very vivacious and peppy. The concept or the story behind this song is very different and interesting. The music is superb and this is a very cool and a nice song.
*Runaway**: the perky attitude remains here. He sings the song with great opulence. Again the concept is truly very attractive. The vocals are very blistering. You really rock your way with this track and here the album gets interesting.
*Stuck In The Middle**: here the album faces a new chapter. Here the big part or the contribution comes from the https://lyrics. Jay’s vocals are very sincere here. You feel totally connected to the song. The music totally matches the song. The song gives an optimistic thought from Jay.
*Maybe**: this is one of the favourite tracks. A great notion is reflected here bejeweled in breath taking vocals in terms of emotions. The perception is so touching and so amazing that the story does it all. I totally love this song. Jay is thoroughly great here and the vocals are literally outstanding.
*I Won’t Tell**: outstanding in every possible way here. It is not that amazing as Ive treasured it, but the vocals, the music and the lyrics come in the most dreamy amalgamation that you cannot resist but to talk well about this track. The storyline maybe unoriginal but the presentation keeps it fresh. As you all know songs come up as being repetitive in their story but if you present it in a different way than maybe, just maybe the audience will not get bored. I assure you that you will not get bored listening this track.
*Used To Love Her**: again the music comes great here. The lyrics again are very fresh and interesting. A great thing about this album is that every song is different from its contemporaries in every way. The music is very clean and Jay sings this song very purely and sincerely.
*Easy As**: a nice one. You move along with this song and it behaves like a warm song. The music is very warming not in a sense of a ballad but in a sense of purity and sincerity. I’m repeating this because Jay’s expressions throughout the song; throughout the album are very pure. Being an analyst, I’ll say that this song is like those, which comes and goes. It won’t give that impact but whenever this track gets played in your play list you’ll get connected and the whole song gets revitalized again for you.
*Good Enough**: this track proves to be the weakest. Although the lyrics convey a message but the dilemma lies in the fact that the music is a bit too fast for this song. The message is very serious and the way that the lyrics are written and the music, the whole seriousness of the song fades away. So it proves to neither to be a fun song nor a serious one. You don’t feel connected at all at any place.
*Stay**: heartbreaking, that is the only word that comes to my mind when I think about this track. It is not all that tragic but it is very aesthetic and very emotional in sense of every thing. Jay is incredible here in terms of expression and vocals. The lyrics are very deep and emotional and music is superb. This track totally does magic.
*Just A Friend**: this song is very peppy and very wild. Although it starts very enticingly but then the friendly and a bit calmer side comes back with the twist of the https://lyrics. Jay is incredible in terms of vocals here. The story starts in Jay’s thoughts but when he comes back then he realizes that “shes just a friend”.
*Murder**: this song is also very peppy. The storyline sounds hackneyed but again the casualness of the lyrics may save it for some people. A nice groovy number but it is not that expressive as its respective formers.
*All Or Nothing**: harmony, harmony, harmony. Harmony in the lyrics, harmony is in the vocals, harmony in the music. The song is very pure and is very expressive. It gets on you very quickly and then it gets hard to repel it.
Overall I would say that My Own Way is a fantastic, cool and is a modern fresh album and is necessary to have. Better download it quickly because you don’t know what you are missing. Music cannot be judged on reading an amateur review but by a devoted listening, so stop reading and go experience a world of fantasy, a world of music, a world of Jay Sean!
