On April 5, 2014 I ordered Arrow shorts on Myntra. My order Id is 11423806. I was regularly tracking the shipping status as I was eager to get the delivery on time. Being a holiday season, my family was going to be away on a vacation and then there would be no one at home to receive the shipment.
I was happy to know, when I got a message on April 7, 2014 informing me that my order was out for delivery and would be delivered before the end of the day by one Vishwas Sukhdare.
When the delivery didnt happen till 8:00pm I tracked the status on their website and was shocked to find that the status displayed was, delivery rescheduled on customers request!
In fact I had not made any call for rescheduling, nor did I receive any call. When I called their 24 X 7 helpline, I was told that their delivery person had tried to deliver the order at my office, but was told that he couldnt deliver the package their.
When, in fact, I had given my residence address as the shipping address! How did their delivery person get my office address to begin with? On questioning about this, the customer care person changed her story, saying that their delivery person had tried to deliver it to my residence, but the security didnt allow him to do so.
All this, within the course of our interaction. How did she verify this, when she was on the phone with me?
Then, she goes on to tell me that I have to wait for 3 business days to get a resolution!
Why does the customer have to suffer, when their own person mis-reports, misleads and causes inconvenience to the very customer who keeps them in business?
Would anyone from Myntra care to explain?
