I once was a member of My Point.
.:The First Thing You Do:.
You go to this link: https://mypoints.com
You read the rules, and if you agree to them you can sign up to become a member. You cant become a member unless you are over 18. You get ten points for becoming a member.
You choose a user name and a password.
Then you get a lot of e-mails every day, from other web sites youve never been too. That is because I believe, they sell the information you gave them.
.:What I Did Every Day:.
I went to the site and read reviews. Some you can read every day, while others you can read once a month. You get 10 points for visiting the site each day. For every ad you read you get 5 points.
.:To Get Extra Points:.
If you buy some things from the ad sites, you get 2 points for every dollar you spend. The problem with this is all of the things you can buy have to be paid for in with a Master Card. I only use Visa, but in any case the money you pay is in United States dollars. That costs me a lot more, than if I bought the same item in Canada.
Some are other web sites, and if you join them, you get extra points.
If you refer someone and they join, you get 100 points.
.:Some Of The Ads Are:.
Ace, Borders Book Store, Home Depot, Roots, (this is a Canadian Company, but you have to pay in USD if you buy something from them), and Target.
.:Redeeming Points:.
You can redeem your points when you have earned 750 of them. The problem is that you get a $5.00 gift certificate, and there is nothing you can buy. You can apply it and pay the difference, but whats the point of doing that?
If you wait until you have earned 5250 points, at least you get a $50.00 gift certificate.
.:The Problems I Had.:
I earned 5000 points, and when I went to sign in, one day, I was told that they had no member, with my username.
I e-mailed them and received a reply asking for my password. I sent an email back with all the other information I had given them.
The next day I received my last e-mail saying I wasnt a member, and did I want to join My Points?
.:What Did I Say:.
I said, No thanks, please take my points and give them to charity.
I was told that I couldnt give the points to charity, because I hadnt earned any, yet.
.:My Final Thoughts:.
I know some member love My Points, but I dont!
Thanks for reading my review.
