I have visited this place in 2013 my sister came to Bangalore first time. It is one of those places in Mysore without which the trip to the place is incomplete
The palace is magnificent and well maintained. It was nice to observe the affluent lifestyle let by the maharajas. An audio tour headphone is necessary to make the tour more meaningful.You have to purchase the ticket for visit and you cannot carry your belongings & footwear inside and it need be dropped at counter.Photo and videography is not allowed inside the palace.
Illuminated Mysore palace can be seen from 7:00 PM to 7:45 PM on Sundays and public holidays. So you should plan your tour accordingly as this is amazing experience and not to be missed .The Palace lighting in the evening was quite an experience. You can sit there for hours and appreciate the beauty of palace and lighting.
